I was just sat here crocheting and I suddenly realised that it’s Monday, the weekend is over and I should be writing. This weekend has whizzed past. There has been food, more food and crochet. I will explain.
On Saturday we went to get flooring for our new bathroom. We ummed and ahhed and before we knew it the first shop that we were returning to, had closed for lunch. We decided that we needed a few things from a couple of shops that didn’t shut so we did that. Then we decided to go for lunch ourselves. We have recently found an amazing crêperie! So that’s where we went.
On Sunday we had friends for lunch, so more food. I made a beef and red wine casserole. It included some parsnips from the garden. Dessert was apple and rhubarb crumble. The rhubarb was also ours.
This coming week’s vlog will be food. I have made a French pumpkin soup with a roasted squash. This will be going live on Friday. Do pop over to the You Tube channel and have a look at last week’s up-cycling video.
I thought I had finished the pattern I was testing, unfortunately not. Yesterday evening I had it finished and photographed. However the designer realised that she had missed something off the bottom of the dress. I am working on it now.
