I have had a lovely weekend. Yesterday was my birthday but I got away with celebrating all weekend. I also got some crochet done!
On Saturday I managed to finish a couple more hats. I have been asked to have a stall at Les Puces Easter market. I had sworn off markets however I like to support this charity so I will do it. I think though I will focus on items for Easter. I have already made a few miniature baskets that I will fill with mini eggs. I hope to make some chicks and rabbits too.

Saturday afternoon I went to Sur La Route for cheesecake and a cocktail which I think is really the way to start a birthday weekend. The cheesecake was gluten free, so I brought two slices home. They are in the fridge for this evening.

Yesterday started with a venoisserie, or breakfast pastry, in my case a blé noir croissant au almond, in other words a buckwheat croissant filled with almond paste, delicious. We then went to La Forêt Fouesnant. Usually there is a large Sunday market there. Strangely though it was rather small. We walked the dogs on both the beaches there and had some lunch in the port.

The day was finished off with a surprise meal out which was rather lovely. A friend organised it. I did wonder if something was going on yesterday but I wasn’t sure. So it was a lovely surprise. A busy and exciting weekend. I’m now off for a rest!
Until tomorrow…
So please you have had such a nice weekend. Your hats are looking fantastic !
I bet that cheesecake was good, it looks sublime. You even had good weather so very much a bonus.
I hope you have a cosy evening. We had flys in the house this afternoon when friends were here. Oh, no, flies already !!! Hahaha

Oh no! No flies here. Chris thinks he saw Zebulon with a rat earlier. As long as he doesn’t bring that in!
