Still going slow!

I am aware that I continue to work at a slower pace than usual. I would have hoped that I would have finished both the bag and another crochet cat.  Unfortunately I haven’t but I am making some progress.

Talking of cats, one of the tasks today was to gain harnesses for the cats that I am taking to the UK. Romulus and Remus will be going to their new permanent home. At border control, they have to have their identification chips scanned. Whilst with dogs it can be challenging, with cats it is significantly more difficult. Therefore having a harness and a lead does mean that the process is safer. I shall be far more relaxed once I have completed that challenge.

I have made some progress on my bag. I am having to complete certain sewn sections by hand so it’s quite slow progress. I hope that by Sunday evening it will be completed. I have finished the lining with the pockets. I need to slip stitch the lining to the crochet body. I also need to finish the strap.

This evening has been a bit of a bung ho recipe. In other words, find what is hanging around that can be thrown together and create something. So I made a curried vegetable soup with green lentils. The stockpot makes such a process really quite simple and produces such tasty meals.

I hope that you all have a great weekend. I will attempt to post on Monday. Until then…

  1. Go slow is perfectly fine. You seem to have a pace which allows for enough time to get things done on schedule. Adaptation is our human super power ! It’s a great idea to have the harness and lead for the cats at the port. How awful if they got lost once you have made it that far.
Your bag is coming along nicely and I can’t wait to see it finished. How wonderful.
We had left overs for tea tonight too ! It was a Friday selection of all sorts that were left from previous meals. Like you, I abhor waste and everything gets used up at the end of the week. I bet your curry was delicious. I often find that the ‘one off’ meals are much better than I expected.
Have a lovely evening with a house full of cats and dogs. Quite lovely ! Xxx
