January!

Whilst it has been extremely cold, the sky would have you believe it’s spring. The last couple of mornings we have seen the sun rising whilst we have been walking the dogs. My younger son always says that positionally we are too far to the west for the time zone that we are in. So we the sun isn’t really up until after 9am at the moment.

We had said that we would do a couple of déchetterie runs for Les Puces today. The charity’s shop is in the process of moving premises. These things always take longer than you think but we have at least done our bit.

Earlier in the week I saw an Yotam Ottolenghi recipe for green pancakes that include both spinach and coriander things that I adore. I also feel that they must be packed with nutrients. When I went to market yesterday I bought spinach, coriander and chilies in order that I could give them ago. We have now eaten them. They are delicious and Chris is keen that I make them again.

We have no real plans for the weekend. I think some quiet time, some crochet and some plans for Archie coming home. I am sure it will be gone before you know.

I hope you have a good weekend, until Monday…

  1. The photos are gorgeous! Your place looks amazing. It’s got to be worth the odd dark morning! Presumably it’s lighter in the late afternoon.
Have a wonderful weekend Zenna and chill!
