We have managed to do the washing for the gîte. We took it to the local laverie. The bedding for 15 people which includes 30 towels is quite a pile therefore the commercial machines seemed the way to go. This evening I have taken a booking for this weekend, so it’s good that I’ve finally got it done!
Whilst I am feeling a little tired this evening, I am feeling as though I am achieving things. There are a number of things that I will be able to tick off the list this evening. We have been putting the alarm each morning and getting up and walking the dogs before we do anything else.
This afternoon was knit and natter. I am continuing to work on my crochet dress. I think it’s looking quite good so I am hopeful that I won’t be taking it apart again. I do think that men need something equivalent to this. I am suggesting a title of bash and clatter. I am not certain what activities this might include. I believe that men need these opportunities that support their mental health. If you have any ideas for bash and clatter activities then please do let me know.

Wow Zenna, you are really making a positive change and I bet you feel tired at the end of each day.
It’s a good idea you have about starting a group for men. I wonder what it will lead to ? Most men enjoy food so how about a breakfast club once a week or fortnight where they meet and take it in turns to cook breakfast, perhaps in someone’s barn or out building ? It might them have a free flowing evolution into some other activity that could be brought along or worked on together ?
Those big commercial washers are definitely the way to go with all that washing. I use them myself sometimes when the weather has been terrible for weeks and no outside drying has been possible. Sort of like right now actually !!!
