Les Puces

The literal translation is the fleas. There is a local charity here, that mostly rescues cats but also provides for some other animals, that uses the name. The charity has a shop which raises money particularly for vets bills and food. The charity is currently in the process of moving from one shop premises to another. We had said that we would help but we weren’t sure what we would be able to do or when. Earlier in the week they were asking for someone to do some dechetterie, tip, runs. So today our day was mostly about that. We managed to do two runs with the trailer which meant that we were able to get quite a lot done.

I have written two articles for a crochet magazine. I am beginning to think that I am being messed about. After each one is submitted they say that there are other things that they want. I keep asking for clear information about what they actually want. Given that I would like to earn some money from writing I am thinking about approaching some other magazines and hope that they might be more professional in their approach.

This evening was Pilates. Pilates and mindfulness are things that I find work for me. So whilst Pilates hurts I love it and I can see that I am making progress. I can now kneel on a Suisse ball, something I could only dream about a year ago!

This evening I shall be getting on with my dress. Last night I packed everything away but forgot to then put the basket in our bedroom. It would seem that the kittens, who look like butter wouldn’t melt in their mouths, had found some of my yarn and dragged it around the floor. Luckily not too much damage was done.

I hope that you all have a really good weekend. Until Monday …

  1. Don’t waste your time – follow your instincts with the writing!
Lucky escape with the kittens and the yarn😂
One of the frustrations of mine is rubbish! Getting rid of all your old stuff when you only have a little car is impossible. The cost of removing it is prohibitively expensive. Do they have tips or recycling centres in France?
Anyway have a lovely weekend- weather here warm and wet – roll on crisp blue winter 🤗
