Connectivity!

Each day I try to draw some positives from the day. Today I had a mindfulness session which was wonderful and has allowed me to recognise the progress that I have made over the last couple of years. We have moved to a new country, we have set up 3 businesses which are beginning to show signs of paying dividends. So I am trying hard to focus on those things.

However this afternoon I have become so frustrated that I could start screaming and throwing things. I had been thinking for a while about purchasing a new phone because I am taking photographs all of the time and I need a better quality camera. At the same time my husband was unhappy with his phone. He felt that mine would be good enough for what he needs. So I purchased a new phone that arrived on Friday. Over the weekend I didn’t have much time to start the process of changing things over. Yesterday by following various videos I managed to set up my contacts and my apps. A good start.

Today I have spent 4 hours trying to remove the photos and data from the old phone and to re-set it to factory settings. It seems that most of the information on line does not work. I have had to find a number of work-arounds. So I could not get the ‘send to all’ to work on my old phone but managed to get it to work on the new phone. I couldn’t upload photos directly to the cloud but managed to get them to go via my laptop. However the factory re-set is not working. I shall try again shortly. After that I shall be giving up for today. I still have to get the contacts and photos off of my husband’s old phone and transfer it to my old phone. Some very deep breaths are needed.

On Saturday when we went swimming Archie injured himself whilst on the beach. We do not know what he did. Originally we thought he’d broken a leg. However after an emergency visit to the vet, on a Bank Holiday, he was satisfied that nothing was broken and with rest, an anti-inflammatory injection and tablets he would recover. On Sunday he seemed worse and cried several times during the night. So yesterday there was another visit to the vet. The vet said that he thought he was better than on Saturday but gave him a further injection anyway and told us to keep him rested and that he should finish his tablets. I am pleased to report that whilst he can still barely walk, we are seeing some improvement. I don’t think he’s going to be running around anytime soon but thankfully I think that he’ll still be with us for a while yet.

So I am off to do further battle. In the meantime until tomorrow…

  1. Brilliant that Archie is improving if only you knew what he had done to damage himself.
I find technology fantastic and extremely challenging at the same time and in equal measures. I do hope that you get your new phone set up soon.
It’s the wettest of evenings again here and quite cold tonight so I am buy looking for another YouTube crochet project to follow along with tonight. Hope you have a cosy evening and Archie continues nines to get better. X

  2. Animals – love em! Lots of joy – but worries too (like our children)! Glad he’s on the mend now πŸ€—
Technology – well, a bit more frustrating! Absolutely brilliant when it works (as evidenced by our ability to keep in touch and collect photos). We all need an Adam Read to refer to!
Glad you are finally in a place to start to value your achievements! You and Chris have every right to be really proud of yourselves πŸ€—πŸ˜˜πŸ€—

  3. Dogs don’t have 3D vision so are prone to miss-judging levels. I imagine rocky beaches that are especially tricky. Hope he is better soon.
