Smiling, dancing and nattering.

First thing this morning this came up on my Facebook feed. It wasn’t the first time that I had seen it however it reminded me of my last mindfulness session. On that day we were talking about the importance of smiling and laughing and how they impact on our mood. So whilst I didn’t dance before I left the house this morning I certainly smiled because I love this image.

When I went to walk the dogs it was glorious sunshine. So again I tried extremely hard to be in the moment and to enjoy the sunshine. I also decided to take some photographs that show some of the beautiful natural environment around us. I adore the way in which spiders created webs in among plants. We live in the Monts D’Arree, which whilst are known as mountains, certainly don’t seem like mountains to us because it is lower than Dartmoor. Nevertheless I think that they look lovely and decided this morning to frame them through trees.

This afternoon was Knit and Natter. My French partner in crime was unable to attend today because she was working. However 3 new people came. One was English, one was an Italian who has lived in France since he was a child. The other was American who has lived in France for nearly 50 years. It is great to see that we are developing a multi-national group. I also managed to make some good progress with the poncho. I am hoping that I will be very close to finish it by the end of this evening. So I will photograph it when it’s finished.

Until tomorrow …

  1. I tried the dancing thing and it really did work…. except my knickers fell down. So maybe you should add a condition… dance without knickers or wear well fitting ones 😉
