Today has mostly been about writing an article. I did block the final pair of slippers and all three pairs are currently upside down with their anti-slip drying. There was a near disaster. Some of the tubes I have used before and clearly since then they have dried which has led to the nozzle becoming blocked. I washed out the nozzle, re-attached it and then squeezed hard. I am very glad to say that I was doing it over a sink. The nozzle suddenly shot off and there was red plasticizer everywhere! I chose another colour!
We went to Huelgoat market and had a coffee. Whilst we were sat in the bar a woman came in offering out bunches of flowers. I naturally thought that I was being sold something. However it turned out that they hadn’t been sold and she had been given them by another stall holder to offer to people. So I actually got a free bunch of flowers. They look lovely.

I have spent much of this afternoon writing an article for a crochet magazine. I had been putting it off and feeling slightly daunted. I went and met two producers at the weekend. I was then told that there would be another one at the market I was attending last night. There was and I had a great opportunity to talk to her. I have been being behaved about not buying when I am supposed to be selling. However I couldn’t resist this particular yarn last night. I am now deciding what I am going to be doing with it, which is something that I mentioned in the article. I have enjoyed the experience of writing again. I have also enjoyed meeting local artisans who produce the yarn. I hope that the article is published. If it isn’t I may try some other magazines. I am, as they say, a free agent.
I am off now to contemplate dinner. I am not entirely certain what I am going to cook. I am hoping that between here and the kitchen I may be filled with inspiration!
Until tomorrow…
The hyacinths are beautiful, I hope they are really fragrant and fill your room. Really lovely gesture. Good luck with your article for the crochet magazine. I know two local people who spin from the raw wool, after cleaning and other processes that they both undertake. A really wonderful craft and skill to have.
It sounds like fun with the slippers today but great that you’ve sorted out the dried tubes !
Have a wonderful meal and a cozy evening, it’s absolutely foul outside tonight. Xxx

Writing again is enjoyable (when itβs self- directed). I help facilitate a creative writing group for U3a and love it. Poetry, short stories free thought (away from the academic straightjacket)
Thinking about doing a spoof panto script for next Xmas
At least you use your yarn Zenna – I collect buttons and trims for all the needlework I never get around to doing!
Enjoy your evening meal π€
