A dog’s day out

Actually it wasn’t only the dogs who went out. We went too. In the main we were lucky with the weather and managed a couple of walks without getting wet.

I had breakfasts to do first thing. Thankfully I’d given myself extra time because I had forgotten two things. I needed milk and the cereal needed changing, it had been in the tub too long. I managed to get to Huelgoat and back and still have everything on the table in time.

I had never been to Port Launay and so we decided that it was as good a place as any to start our day out. It is on the canal and is an old port that still has a number of boats and moorings. From there we went to Chateaulin where a coffee pitstop occurred.

Feeling refreshed we decided that it was necessary to see the sea before we turned for home. Initially we were going to head out to the Crozon peninsula, however the map suggested that Dournanez was closer and so we headed there instead. It was quite blustery on the beach by the time we got there however the dogs seemed to enjoy it.

On the way back we were caught up in a Brittany traffic jam! This evening we have the second half of yesterday’s casserole which I am about to start heating up. I think that everyone is ready for a hot meal. After that I think it will be a quiet evening.

Until tomorrow…

  1. Looks gorgeous Zenna. It’s typical mizzle here although promising a storm and heavy rain. Been to my Creative Writing Group with U3a today and wrote some REALLY dark stuff about a child murderer πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ˜±πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈ Good fun though πŸ€—
It’s not too cold (no central heating yet)!
Experimenting with curries at the moment so good fun for dull, rainy days. πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—

  2. You made the most of the day and even got to the coast. Lovely spots you picked and it’s a pretty route. I love second day meals, they always taste that little bit better. I hope you have a cozy, calm evening together. Xxx
