Finally my husband and I are both in our own home at the same time. As it happens our eldest son is also here for a week for a visit. I am hoping that life can start getting back to normal.
I left the UK on Friday. Given the situation with the dogs I took my mother home but was not able to stay for my father-in-law’s funeral. The funeral went well, my husband wrote and read the eulogy and my younger son was asked to read a poem. Unfortunately there are currently only two sailings a week from Plymouth to Roscoff, one on a Friday lunchtime and the other leaves on a Tuesday evening and arrives on Wednesday mornings. I left Plymouth Friday lunchtime before the funeral had started. The Pont Aven, the current ship used for the crossing, even has a swimming pool, but it would seem that it is not currently in use.
I managed to get a certain amount of crochet done on the poncho this weekend. It isn’t far from being finished. Once I have done this I promise I will finish the three cat beds that I have been working on. I will then have to think about what to do next. I have been looking at a number of patterns and have several ideas. I have also been thinking about up-cycling projects. I used to do a number of them whilst I was still in the UK and I really would like to think about doing some again now. One of the many things that I need to do is to set up a shop on here. I am certain that it can be done. I would also like to start vlogging but as I have said before it all takes time. And at the moment I am trying to be kind to myself and not overload myself. This morning we had a lovely long walk with the dogs and we have been to Huelgoat for a coffee. I will be crocheting again later but I am taking everything extra easy at the moment.
Over the weekend it seems that Nancy and Florence have become good friends. I thought you might like to see them sharing a chair. This is something that could only be imagined a few weeks ago!

Please do not forget that there are places available on the mindfulness and creativity course: https://www.eventbrite.fr/e/mindfulness-a-creative-approach-tickets-176234330627?aff=ebdssbdestsearch Do get in touch if you have any questions.

Beautiful lounge Zenna!
The upcycling would probably be more profitable than the gorgeous hand made products you’ve shown on here so I would go for it. And I know that the French are renowned for their food but your chutneys are amazing so that’s got to be a goodie for the markets!
Glad to hear you are focussed on taking it a little easier (even though your posts show you working as hard as ever)!
Enjoy your time with Billy – and breathe in autumns mellow sunshine
Love to you, Chris and Billy 🤗🤗🤗

The lounge is the one in our gite. I dream that one day we’ll have one like it 🤣🤣. I shall be starting some up-cycling next week. I’m looking forward to it.
