As is often the way I was about to start my first sentence with so! However that really isn’t a good way to start. Thus I will try to remember to find other openers!
I had expected that by now I would be basking in total isolation and crocheting to my heart’s content. Unfortunately that is not quite how things are working out. Instead I have just been to Brest airport to drop my sister-in-law off.
I picked her up from the airport on Saturday afternoon. All went well and we all had an early night. Sunday morning she got up ahead of me. I heard her come down the stairs. She was almost at the bottom when there was an almighty crash. She missed the last two steps.
A trip to the emergency department led to her having surgery on her wrist and two pins inserted. Driving is now out of the question for at least 6 weeks. Hence she flew back to Spain this afternoon.
The latest plan is for me to take my mother back to the UK on Wednesday and to return to France on Friday. This may mean a couple of days of radio silence. I will keep you posted.
Until tomorrow…

Donβt believe how stressful your life is in the new rural idyll!
Hopefully life will establish a more settled pattern soon
Love as always
