Today I was expecting a load of wood to be delivered. However as yet it hasn’t arrived. Wood and log piles are something central to the way of life in Brittany.
So in the meantime I spent a certain amount of time cleaning the kitchen and cooking for this evening. So there is a bacon and lentil dhal in the slow cooker and flatbreads with sun-dried tomatoes fried off and ready.
I have been using a meat supplier in central Brittany who delivers to the door. The man comes around once every 3 months or so and takes an order. He came this afternoon. I tried to finish stuffing a cat bed but I haven’t managed to so far.
Now I am going swimming with a friend. We have been talking about it for months and one thing or another has prevented us. So as soon as I finish, I am off!
Apologies for the brevity. Until tomorrow…

Such lovely photos. Really heartwarming to see Chris with Florence in his arms looking relaxed and so much bigger ! I hope you have a really great swim, such a nice way to exercise. Xx

Ooooo where do you get your logs from? We never figured out a supplier.
A swim sounds like a fab idea. I hope you enjoyed it.

The swim was delightful. Teresa and Francois arranged them for me. I got 1 cord last year and 2 this year. Really good quality wood.

Enjoy your swim Zenna. Where do you go? River, sea? Cossie or wet suit?

Nice photos of Mr K and cat π
Iβm busy trying to (unsuccessfully) make goats cheese. Weather here a bit ropey but if rain holds off Iβm off to plant out spring bulbs
Sending love ax always π€

Yesterday it was a pool. Usually we do a local lake and the sea. Haven’t managed either of those this year. No wet suits here!
