Oh goodness

I have just realised what time of night it is and I haven’t yet written anything! There have been a couple of things going on. As is often the way!

I had a guest arriving this evening so I had to do a quick gite clean. Yesterday I had started defrosting the fridge in our own kitchen but it took all night. So before anything else I had to finish that before going to the gite. Today was our youngest’s last day, so whilst I was busy this morning I thought taking him for a crepe for lunch would be a good idea.

It seems that half the creperies around here are closed on a Tuesday. Finally we found one that was serving. It wasn’t the best crepe however we sat outside in a lovely shaded spot. So it was a great last day.

Late this afternoon we had a request for another room for tonight. So I had to go around and explain to my first guest that she wouldn’t be alone today. We made up a bed and cleaned a room at real speed. He is now not arriving until late!

Of course when my son leaves so does Victor his new cat. I have finally managed to get some photos of him. So you can see what a handsome boy he is.

So until tomorrow…

  1. Beautiful cat! Bet you’ll miss your baby Every so often I look at my grown up kids with their partners and their own growing babies and it catches me – – my babies are proper grown up people. I wonder if they will ever stop being ‘my babies’?
Three of my grand babies now at secondary school too 😳. Perhaps they will always be my babies as long as I have the desire to protect them from a sometimes cruel world.
Whatever – I think its easier looking after cats and dogs – unless they’re poorly 🤔

    1. Oh yes I will miss him. He’s changing so much and it’s lovely to see. I think they’re always a bit our babies, we can’t see them without being reminded of the history we have with them xx
