It has been an incredibly busy weekend. I had turnovers to do in the gite every day and several breakfasts too. Last night was the final of the European Cup which didn’t quite turn out as some of my friends and family had hoped. However the final is really rather respectable after the last few years.
Saturday I was cleaning one of the bathrooms and I couldn’t get the toilet to flush properly. There was a problem about a week ago and I thought I’d cleared it, but clearly not. Thankfully I have a friendly plumber who turned out to fix it. It wasn’t pleasant and I really don’t understand why someone would put a sanitary towel down a toilet when they’ve been asked not to and there is a bin beside it. Whilst he was with me a friend who runs a campsite messaged to say could he come to her next, there was a problem with a shower. She has decided he is the fourth emergency service!
Whilst on my way to the gite this morning I saw a rabbit. Some may not be surprised, particularly given that it was the Norman French who introduced them to Britain. However I have lived in France for a year now and I think that this is the first time I have seen one. Hares on the other hand I see probably not daily but certainly weekly. It’s strange that they are native to Britain yet rarely seen. I will try and photograph the next hare I see but they are usually haring around!
I am the proud owner of a small remorque, or trailer. However I have realised that I have no straps to attach anything to it, so today I have bought myself a set of ratchet straps. I would have thought that they would be either self explanatory or come with a diagram. It would seem that neither is the case. I hope to work out how to use them soon!

I hope you all had a good weekend. Until tomorrow.
Goodness, what a busy time of it ! It’s always surprising why people don’t use a toilet bin for the paper and sanitary items. We have one by our bin and quite frequently in the past people who have visited have still decided to try and flush a large item down the toilet, resulting in a rather messy outcome and much swearing by Dean ! Hahaha
Great that you are busy though and have plenty of guests over the summer time.
Have a lovely evening. Xxx
