A quiet day

As with yesterday I have had a very quiet day. The pain in my back is worse again at the moment, so I’m taking the painkillers and taking it easy.

I spent part of the day doing online banking. Whilst I find it a pain at the beginning of each month, I am so grateful that it exists. This is particularly important given that we have a property in the UK. There are many problems with the Internet however there are also so many positives. Whilst the last 18 months have been awful, I don’t think I could have imagined it without facetime. Skype, WhatsApp etc. The ability to see other people has been so important.

I did manage to get the dogs out for a walk and we went down to the stream. It was there that I saw the beautiful dragonflies the other week. I had hoped that I would see some today and photograph them. I sat on the bridge, nothing. I put my camera back in my backpack and they appeared! I got it back out but it would seem that photographing dragonflies isn’t easy. So I took some photos of the dogs instead.

I haven’t quite finished the woman’s moccasins that I have been working on. I will finish them this evening and post them tomorrow. I have done a pair of baby boots which are below. My plan is to do some in different colour ways with a ribbed cuff at the top. I think that would make them suitable for boys and girls.

Until tomorrow I will keep taking the painkillers and being quiet. I am hoping to be able to get back to strength soon.
