So as always the weekend has gone in a blur. Guests and breakfasts. Actually the ones in this weekend were a father and son. They left me a really sweet note that I found this morning to say how much they enjoyed their stay and how good their breakfasts were. So that was rather nice. We went to a barbecue yesterday afternoon which was lovely. Good food, good company and it didn’t rain. What more can you want?
Over the weekend I had a think about where I am selling things and what might be appropriate for different audiences. So whilst I intend to continue with the hats, scarves, bags and larger items, I am also going to do some things that are specifically for the tourist market. The tourists will be here soon and they will be looking for things that they can take home to remind them of their holiday. I have done a wall hanging. It’s not quite finished because I need some really fine wire to provide an element of strengthening and also to keep it straight. I have also done a lighthouse which needs some final stitching to create windows and doors. Do let me know what you think.
So what was so exciting? Well today I set up a room in our caravan for two very important visitors. I really enjoyed setting up the bedroom and sorting out some toilet facilities. My youngest son and his cat arrived. I haven’t seen him since the end of August last year, so it is absolutely fantastic to have him here. He will be here until he goes back to university in the autumn. At the moment he is quarantining for 5 days but after that he will be out and about. Hopefully he’ll come and do a few markets with me.

So has anything exciting happened for you this weekend? What do you buy when you go on holiday?

What lovely guests Zenna. Perhaps you should keep a scrap book for your gite ? It will be lovely to have it in the future. We still have ours from our Cafe, 20 years ago. It’s a lovely memory jogger.
You have a son and his cate fully resident with you again ! Yippee ! Wonderful for you all to at least in part be all together for the summer. I am so happy for you all.
I love your ideas for the markets. How about making lighthouse wine covers ? Just a thought but they would look very Breton. Fish/ lighthouse/ seagull key rings ?
This weekend also flew by for me. I swear that time accelerates on Saturday and Sunday ! Hahah

I think you’re right. Saturdays and Sundays certainly go faster than any other days of the week. What a lovely idea to have a scrap book. I think I might start one. I like the key ring idea. And finally just wonderful to have one of my children here!

You must be over the moon to have Henry and le chat home
I’m loving the lighthouse! It’s always good to be able to pick up a souvenir that’s lightweight when away.
This week feels a little flat as my brother, wife, daughter and grand-nephew gone home. Family mean so much – as do good friends. 🤗🤗🤗

Yes wonderful to have Henry and Brian here. I’m glad you liked the lighthouse. I shall make some more! And as for family and friends I think they have become so much more important throughout this madness.
