2nd jabs, markets and crochet

So today was the day for my 2nd dose. Like the UK, France is leaving a longer gap between first and second doses of the Astra Zenica vaccine. So my husband who had his first dose the 22nd of April had his 2nd dose two or three weeks ago. I am very relieved that I have now had both doses and have my QR code that demonstrates that I am fully vaccinated.

Last night was my first night back at market. I didn’t sell anything. To be honest I wasn’t expecting to. It seems that you need to be seen a few times before anyone starts to buy. I have higher hopes for Thursday. It is more of a craft market. I have to admit that I was a little disorganised which didn’t help.

Me at market!

As a result this afternoon I have been reorganising my stock. I have had to sort out some of my yarn because that had become tangled and generally a mess. I also have a bad habit of not always finishing items completely, particularly brooches. Sewing in the ends and sewing on the pins can be a bit boring.

So now I am taking myself in hand and getting everything finished. I am also putting small stock items into separate boxes so that I can find them. I am also going to make a display board for the brooches. So quite a bit to do before tomorrow evening.

Are there aspects of your hobbies that you leave until later?

  1. Brilliant that you had your second vaccine ! I think you are right about having to attend the markets a few times for people to become familiar with you. It takes a while like many things do here. Keep going over the summer and see how it pans out perhaps. Certainly lovely. To be out mixing with people though especially in the sunshine.
    You looked lovely.
What do I put off ? Well normally I just find I’ve run out of time to do that particular things so I move that thing to the top of my list for the next day. If it’s a hobby, then it starts the next day off with something lovely. Xxx
What a thunder storm last night ? The sky was lit up for about three hours and very beautiful. Xx
