Catching up on crochet

I am trying to make positive choices in my life. I want to lead a more relaxed and calm life that remains fulfilling as it retains some challenges. With this in mind I am trying to decide how to best utilise my time. So from now on I will blog during the week but not at weekends. I need to spend time running the gite d’etape and creating items to sell. 

With the summer coming, and finally we do seem to be seeing some sun, more of the local artisan markets are opening up. I will be taking stalls at various markets and therefore with this in mind I need to ensure that I have a supply of articles. Today I met someone who is organising a market from next week onwards outside the brewery in my village. I will be having a stall there. 

In the past I created wall plaques and key racks, something that I haven’t done for a while. I am thinking of making some smaller versions particularly for those who are on holiday. Having been a camper in the past, I am familiar with cars that are filled to overflowing with items jammed in around small children who are clutching soft toys in their car seats! I want to make some items out of reclaimed timber, but they need to be small. So for example I might make some key racks with one stencilled key instead of the four that I have done in the past. Once I have made some I’ll post them on here. 

I have managed to finish the bag this week. I have done some Scottie brooches and some flower brooches and I am currently working on a summer shawl. I rather like both the pattern and the yarn. Please let me know what you think. When I have finished it I think I might do another summer hat with this yarn too.
