For those who know me…

I apologise in advance there won’t be much tonight I’m really quite tired. I ended up doing about 3 hours driving today. I am seriously out of practice and found it really quite exhausting.

I had agreed to drive and pick up an awkward item for a friend. This meant that I had to take my trailer. Said trailer on the up side is small and light and on the down side is too light to reverse. It simply jack knifes whatever you do. So there I was having taken a wrong turning having to unhitch and re-hitch having the turned the car around. As I said those who know me will understand…

I am working on the bag that I suggested yesterday. I made quite good progress with it last night.  I think that I will finish the crochet of the main section this evening. Then I will need a strap. I’ll keep you posted on how that goes.

This will be a bag

Below are some photos of the dogs given that some readers have said that they like to see them. It was Archie’s 2nd birthday a week or so ago so a number of photos were taken of him to share with his brothers and sisters. There is quite a good picture of Archie and Nancy trying to share a chair, something neither of them are particularly good at! And finally all three of them lying down quietly, it does happen sometimes.

Tomorrow is a trip to IKEA for 3 mattresses amongst other items and guests arriving at the gite. So it will be another busy day. Hopefully I’ll have something interesting to report. Until tomorrow.

  1. Love the colours of the bag Zenna!
Can’t believe you were tired driving when I think of how you used to run around on REALLY busy roads in England. At least now it’s for something more meaningful and personal 😊
I lost yesterday’s blog about keeping track of stuff – I had started to reply then came back and FB had thrown a load of new stuff in! With all your bookings (congrats on the long let) I think you need Chris to build you a big wooden wall chart. colour coded with rooms – and hooks to hang little crocheted coloured markers (different colours for length of stay)
Every time you take a booking you can look at where you have spaces AND you can photo it with your phone so you have a mobile record! If it doesn’t work you will have a wonderful piece of rainbow art!
Lovely seeing photos of the dogs – and the old mans legs! I’m amazed he had been busy demolishing today after the vaccine! I was wiped out totally.
I love hearing about your new life, thanks for taking the time to post (it’s also lovely you don’t have loads to say each day / means you’re relaxing a bit)
    Love today as always 🤗🤗🤗

    1. I like the board idea I think that would be great! I was gobsmacked by how tired I was. I could hardly walk when I first got out of the car! You know how much I used to drive. Love xxx

  2. I love the bag. I was amazed when I read that you had only taught yourself to crochet during the first lockdown. That is a wonderful thing to have put your time to and so creative.

The dogs look proper rascals and full of mischief. I absolutely love and hate Ikea all in equal measures. My children adore it in there but I always get lost and have a real difficulty following lines through the shop ! I once burst out through a fire escape as I was just about to go crazy looking for exits without trailing all around the place again ! Directions are not my forte. Haha
I hope you have a lovely time in there and emerge with all the things you need as well as your sanity.
Driving about is tiring unless it’s to go on holiday. I totally understand how you found it so tiring. I hope you have a lovely relaxing evening tonight and recharge yourself in readiness for tomorrow. Have a lovely day !
Oh, I loved the hat too. You have an obvious flair for crochet. Sending love. Xxx

    1. Thank you for your positive, as always, comments. I’ve knitted since I was about 6 or 7 but couldn’t get the hang of crochet. Finally I found someone on YouTube who made it make sense.
Chris hates IKEA, so it’s one I do without him. There’s 3 of us going so it should be fun xxx
