I find that life can change here very quickly and when you’re least expecting it. I should be getting used to that by now but I’m not. I need to realise that if you are in the hospitality business things are often very transient.
Yesterday evening I finished the hat that I had been talking about previously. Strangely at one moment I thought it was going to take significantly longer than I had expected then suddenly it was finished. I am rather pleased with it. I think it’s quite jolly. I’m considering making another one and making the section with the shells a different colour to the rest of it. I’ll see. I made a couple of flowers last night too that will be turned into brooches. An order of buttons finally arrived and I think that I am going to use them in the centre of the flowers. I just need to make some leaves and then I can start sewing them together. I am also thinking of making some bags. I managed to make too many squares for the poncho and so I am thinking of putting some of them together to make the front of bags. When I’ve done them I’ll show you.

Today is turning into a busy week. I have some bookings for the weekend, as well as the longer booking from today. I am out tomorrow and need to go and purchase mattresses on Thursday, I know how to live! So today I spent a significant amount of time cleaning and setting up the gite. My room for Thursday is now ready as well as today’s room. I’d like to be able to report that today’s guests have arrived safely however having said that they would arrive at about 5pm at 6:30pm there is still no sign. I do hope that they will be here soon.
So until tomorrow, I hope that your day has gone well. I look forward to chatting then.
Nice hat – nice buttons

To be fair the weather has been pretty awful here. However I do hope that we’ll get more visitors soon.
