Usually I am on the ball about what day of the week it is. However today I’ve been convinced that it is Saturday all day. I think part of the issue has been that for the first time in over a month we have had guests for 4 consecutive nights.
This morning the people who arrived last night had breakfast. I’m a little out of practice but I think that it went well. They certainly seemed to have enjoyed it.
Having done some shopping we returned to change beds, clean and get organised for this evening’s guests. As we arrived back this evening to light the fire I had an email to say that they would be an hour later than they had originally planned.
This has certain benefits. I have time to kill. So I am sat outside the gite with my crochet. I can pick up the gite WiFi and follow the pattern on my phone. I have a couple of things on the go at the moment. I have been working on and off on a cardigan for me and today I have started another summer hat using a different design to the last one.

The last few days have been really very busy. We saw the owner of the local brewery today who says that he and others think that it will start to get really busy from next week. On Wednesday lock down goes to the next stage of easing. Bars, cafes and restaurants will be able to open and serve outside. I will be able to go back to the market. I am though already planning to have a coffee in a cafe on Wednesday!
I do hope that we continue to be busy. I look forward to lock down easing and travel becoming easier.
The bank holidays play havoc with the brain in May. Wonderful that you have happy guests and still find time to crochet as well. Yes’m next week will be a big change to the order of things as they have been for a while. I think the holidays have come early this year to France, let’s hope it all continues as it is with not too many set backs.
On Wednesday you will be savouring the coffee and taking in the life of passers by. People watching is a lovely pass time. Xx

Yes it’s fantastic and though I won’t have too much time. I will enjoy what is available to me!

Lockdowns! We now have our PM talking about possible movement of June 21st (ie back to normal). The ‘India variant’ is clearly a concern!

Yes I don’t know. Chris said earlier that if there is no end to this soon the reality is that there will be a surge in suicides. This is an awful suggestion. However it probably is a realistic concern. I really hope that we will find that the road map will be adhered to.
