Each day I try to draw some positives from the day. Today I had a mindfulness session which was wonderful and has allowed me to recognise the progress that I have made over the last couple of years. We have moved to a new country, we have set up 3 businesses which are beginning toContinue reading “Connectivity!”

The start of something new
Welcome back and I really hope that you have had an opportunity to have some fun and relaxation with your family and friends. I must say thank goodness for facetime. Without it I would have found this Christmas extremely difficult, particularly as it was, it was the second in which all plans were interrupted dueContinue reading “The start of something new”
Christmas and New year
I have decided to take a bit of a break. All my orders for Christmas have been completed and delivered. I have bookings in the gite so I am focusing on that a bit more now. I had someone in the gite last night and I have a family in on Wednesday. Then I haveContinue reading “Christmas and New year”
A better day
This morning I was still feeling a little low. However a friend rang and then called in. I really appreciated that and whilst I didn’t dance before I left the house I certainly smiled. Walking the dogs was lovely. There was a blue sky and it was possible to see sunshine dappled through the trees.Continue reading “A better day”
Falling off the horse
Sometimes I think that blogging is self-indulgent. Other times I think that it is similar to being sick on the page. Given that I write about creativity and mindfulness I try to ensure that I write about both of those each day. However today I am not feeling mindful or creative. At about 8.30am thisContinue reading “Falling off the horse”
Smiling, dancing and nattering.
First thing this morning this came up on my Facebook feed. It wasn’t the first time that I had seen it however it reminded me of my last mindfulness session. On that day we were talking about the importance of smiling and laughing and how they impact on our mood. So whilst I didn’t danceContinue reading “Smiling, dancing and nattering.”
Moments of ma
Ma is a Japanese term that I have learnt through mindfulness. It is used to describe a pause in time, an interval or the emptiness in space. It is something that I find particularly difficult to engage with. Actually trying not to be constantly doing or thinking is a challenge. I can see how itContinue reading “Moments of ma”
Telephone French
I am not about to suggest that the French used on the phone is different to any other French but I am about to say that I find it that much more difficult. I am aware that we use a range of non-verbal cues when we engage in conversations. I remember a teacher at schoolContinue reading “Telephone French”
Pantoufles, Pilates and pizza
I finally finished all three pairs of slippers and starched them in order that they better hold their shape. I had arranged that I would meet the client today. They were coming through Finisterre for work but weren’t quite sure at what time. In the end we decided that we would meet in Quimper. MyContinue reading “Pantoufles, Pilates and pizza”
Artisan Yarns
Today has mostly been about writing an article. I did block the final pair of slippers and all three pairs are currently upside down with their anti-slip drying. There was a near disaster. Some of the tubes I have used before and clearly since then they have dried which has led to the nozzle becomingContinue reading “Artisan Yarns”
