So welcome back and thank you everyone for your kind wishes. What happened last Sunday was that I managed to fall off the side of our staircase that goes to the attic. I was carrying down a bag of cat litter and a bowl of water for the cat that needed refreshing. I include aContinue reading “What a week!”

An interuption
Unfortunately I took a tumble yesterday. I’m now a little bruised and battered. So there will be no posts this week. I will be taking some time to rest and recuperate. I look forward to returning next week.
Friday night already!
So yet another week has flown past and the weekend starts here! I have various odds and ends that I intended to include in various posts this week, so I think I might just include them here. Yesterday I meant to talk about King Arthur. Strangely we had watched a documentary recently in which theyContinue reading “Friday night already!”
Exciting and exciting!
So I’m not sure what I’ve done today. I had to go and get a prescription this afternoon so I took the dogs and afterwards we went for a walk in Heulgoat forest. I had only intended for it to be a short walk however it was lovely and peaceful and the birds were singing.Continue reading “Exciting and exciting!”
A lock
As part of giving myself permission, I shall be writing a short post today. I have been busy and have just come home. Shortly I will feed the dogs and then me. The dogs are not my favourites at the moment. I was going to have toast when I got home from market however theyContinue reading “A lock”

I was talking to a friendContinue reading “Giving myself permission”
Blue skies and being busy
Firstly thank you to everyone who sent messages to me at the end of last week. Your kind words were appreciated. As you can imagine it was a bit of a strange weekend. My husband and youngest set off for the UK yesterday and they have safely arrived. So now I’m on my own forContinue reading “Blue skies and being busy”
Sometimes the little things really are the big things
Firstly I need to apologise that there was not a blog yesterday. Unfortunately my husband received some bad news yesterday and that took over our lives. And suddenly you realise the little things, your family, your friends really are the most important things in life. Whilst we can all enjoy a meal in an expensiveContinue reading “Sometimes the little things really are the big things”
Pink pantouffles and produce
I have guests coming into the gite this evening. However unlike me I have forgotten to record their phone number. I am so used to people booking through Airbnb or texting me, I forget if they ring that I will need to make a note of their number. So I know that there are twoContinue reading “Pink pantouffles and produce”
Occupation
Today is Tuesday so I will be off to market later. With this in mind I thought that I would try and post early. With my youngest being in quarantine for 5 days, there isn’t much that will be happening here. Sunday was D-day and so that has made me think about the experiences ofContinue reading “Occupation”
