Apologies this will be a very short post this evening. On returning from Brest we were both starving and exhausted. I cooked a brunch and I have been asleep since then. So a rather late post. The process of selling my car seemed to take a long time and felt stressful as they were goingContinue reading “A little nap!”

Mindfulness, car and canine.
Today was a mindfulness session. I so look forward to them. They really help me to keep calm, to relax and have a positive outlook on life. I am starting to realise that me-time is really important particularly if you are trying to support others. So time spent on mindfulness is not self-indulgent, quite theContinue reading “Mindfulness, car and canine.”
Sunshine, son and success
I am a little sad today because our elder son went home yesterday. I don’t know when we will next see him. However I hope that it won’t be as long as last time. On Saturday we went out and had a walk on the beach at Carantec, which was lovely and the sun shone.Continue reading “Sunshine, son and success”
A grand day out
Today has been about having a day off and a day out. Given that our son is on holiday we want to make sure that he has some fun. Hence a day out, lunch out and a beach. I have never been to Locronan. It is one of the places on my list to visit.Continue reading “A grand day out”
Busy, busy!
Whilst little creative has been achieved, preparation for such activities have started. The day started with a dog walk with a friend and her dog. Unfortunately I forgot to take any photos. Afterwards the three of us, me my husband and our elder son, went to Huelgoat market. I love buying fresh fruit and vegetablesContinue reading “Busy, busy!”
On a roll!
Last night I came close to finishing the poncho that I have been working on. Before the final section of crochet you need to sew up the shoulder section. Given it was quite late and I would have needed to measure accurately I put the poncho aside. Instead I picked up a pet bed. IContinue reading “On a roll!”
Oh no!
Those of you who know me well will know that I swear by my slow cooker. Even in the summer months I use it regularly. Now as we approach the autumn and winter it becomes something that I can use several times a week. This lunchtime I was washing the pot part when I knockedContinue reading “Oh no!”
And breathe…
Finally my husband and I are both in our own home at the same time. As it happens our eldest son is also here for a week for a visit. I am hoping that life can start getting back to normal. I left the UK on Friday. Given the situation with the dogs I tookContinue reading “And breathe…”
Goodnight…
This can only be an obituary to my father-in-law Garry Kenneth Kingdon, who died 15th September aged 87, 5 days after his birthday. Today is his funeral. He was in my life for nearly 25 years and in that time has had a significant impact on it. The beginning of this summer was traumatic, heContinue reading “Goodnight…”
Wet, foggy and rainy
Yesterday it was quite hot when I arrived in Plymouth. Today the weather is typical mizzerly, foggy and wet which is regularly seen in Devon and on Dartmoor. It is hard to describe the way in which it hangs in the air and sticks to you. The weather therefore is not making me miss Devon.Continue reading “Wet, foggy and rainy”
