Finding the yarn!

Firstly I do need to thank everyone who has enquired after my health and sent me good wishes. I was explaining to someone that a few years ago, if I accidentally ate gluten it would take about 24 hours and I’d be back to normal. Now it can take days or even longer. So whilst I was being a bit cantankerous and feeling sorry for myself, it has a knock on effect on what I can do. When you work for yourself this can be problematic. I am aware that there is washing piling up from last weekend. This being said, I haven’t got any guests booked-in this week, so it’s the best time that it could happen.

My husband took me to market this morning. There was a group playing in the square. It really livened the mood. It is something that you see there but not as frequently as you might think. The market is really expanding now. It is clear that we are moving into the summer season and because there are visitors here all of the time there is a wider variety of stalls.

After market, I persuaded my husband to take me to Morlaix. There is a shop there that I know stocks DMC yarns. I thought that if they didn’t have what I was looking for, they might be able to order it. I didn’t really expect to find it. However lo and behold, they had not only the colour but the same dye lot in stock. I was absolutely thrilled.

When we came home and I had to have a sleep for a couple of hours, but now I am back on the cardigan. I am close to finishing the first sleeve. I am hoping that by the end of the weekend, I will have finished this project. I have plenty more to be getting on with but in the meantime I will gain a sense of accomplishment and achievement, particularly given I haven’t used a pattern for this cardigan.

Until tomorrow…
