Procrastination and bunting

A strange title I know. However that is what today has been about. Therefore it seemed appropriate.

I woke a little late this morning. I never feel that it’s a good start when you find that it’s later than you thought. I then spent some time answering emails and looking at things online. As part of my rummaging online I came across something about procrastination. I have always felt that there were really negative associations with the word. However the article suggested otherwise. It suggests that those who procrastinate are not lazy, something that I always think about myself, rather they have not found the appropriate approach to work or getting things done. Interestingly it offered various approaches, none of which felt appropriate for me, however I did feel that I could take something positive from it. So perhaps I need to consider what works for me. Perhaps I’ll achieve more that way.

If you live in the UK, you cannot have failed to notice that it’s the Queen’s platinum jubilee this weekend. Being in France we are not really celebrating as those who are in the UK might be. However we have been invited to an afternoon tea on Sunday at which the jubilee will be celebrated. I know that bunting was ordered but some of it has failed to materialize. With that in mind I decided to crochet some. I am not doing great lengths of it but I feel sure that it will help to decorate the party.

Tomorrow I cannot procrastinate, I have someone coming into the gîte for the weekend. So it’s cleaning and bedmaking. Therefore it will be a busier day.

Until tomorrow…
