Butterflies and bunnies

Yesterday I had to go to Morlaix. I had a couple of places to visit. I had got there midmorning being sure that one of the shops that I was visiting closes for lunch. It turns out that the shop concerned doesn’t open on Monday mornings. For various reasons not least being the horrendous cost of diesel, I needed to kill time before I was able to go to the yarn store.

Whilst waiting I was able to find a number of bunny patterns. I did decide that from now on I will ensure that I have something to knit or crochet with me whenever I go out. I am not very good at doing nothing. However I did at least download the patterns. Yesterday evening before I started any bunnies though I finished off a hat I had started and the baskets.

This morning was mindfulness. We undertook a meditation called the butterfly. When I got home Chris was keen to show me something in the poly-tunnel. As we walked across we saw a butterfly, the first we have seen this year. There appeared to be an element of synchronicity, two butterflies in one day, when you wouldn’t expect it. Spring is really here. It seems that in the sunshine it is really warm, however as soon as the sun goes down it’s really quite cold. Each day though we have more daylight so it is getting warmer.

This afternoon I started on one of the bunny patterns. I have managed to finish the first one. It took little longer than I had hoped nevertheless I am pleased with how it has turned out. The pattern suggests that they should be made in pairs. I will see how that goes.

Until tomorrow…
