They weren’t wrong!

Yesterday whilst I was driving along the M54,the M6 and the M5, there were regular high wind warnings for today. So often the Met office gets these things wrong. But not on this occasion. It has been awful.

From the small hours it was possible to hear the wind blowing. It would seem that all around the south west there has been some major devastation. Train services have been interrupted, with roads and bridges closed. Roofs have been blown off buildings. Trees have come down crushing cars and taking power lines with them. Someone I know posted a photo entitled, ‘The shed is dead’. It seems that her shed was raised from the base and then dropped back half on it.

The upshot has been that I have been unable to visit who I was expecting to today. The remains of my schedule is now thrown into disarray and I am going to have to rearrange what I’m doing. I have though been getting on with the jumper.

It feels slow progress at the moment. I have a number of WIPs, works in progress, so I have been tempted to switch projects. However given that the sweater is an order, I need to get on with it. Whilst I love both knitting and crochet, sometimes it can become quite boring and it feels as though there is little evidence of progress. I know it is growing but oh so slowly! I’m going to keep at it and see what I can achieve in the next day or two.

I have suddenly realised that today is Friday. The weeks seem a little out of kilter at the moment. Staying in different places for a few days at a time has completely thrown me. So for now, thank you for reading and continuing to follow me. I hope you have a good weekend, until Monday…

  1. Not the best visit I guess! The weather here yesterday was shocking. I guess we will have some late snow in the next few weeks too.
Looks like this weekend should be one to relax, put your feet up, ENJOY some mindful knitting (rhythm should help relaxation) and just chill. Sending love 🤗
