There was an incredible storm last night. At one point in the night I was awake listening to it. This morning it was as though it hadn’t happened. Just as we were going out there was an amazing rainbow.

One of the things that my friend and I always liked to do was to mooch. We liked, when we lived in Devon, to go into Tavistock. We’d go and have coffee or lunch and look around the shops, sometimes we bought things on other occasions just looking to see what’s around. Often we used the opportunity to gain inspirations for things that we might create.
Once we had both moved from Devon, Ludlow became our town of choice. Today we had a little trip there. Ludlow is a very beautiful ancient town. John Betjeman suggested it was the most beautiful town in England. I really enjoy walking around the town. There are lots of independent shops which make it so much more interesting. There’s a market in the town square most days too. Before we moved to France I bought some mugs there, they are Shropshire pottery seconds, not that I can find the faults. The cats recently broke my favourite mug, so I decided to replace it.

I have been working on the jumper, so some progress continues to be made. Until tomorrow…
