I had a wonderful weekend with my elder son. We spent Saturday in Chippenham and yesterday we planned to go to Avebury. Sunday dawned with steady rain. We thought it might improve. We set off anyway.
Before we left I asked whether I was right in thinking that it was known as Avebury Henge. After much discussion and some research we discovered that there was a henge at Avebury. We also managed to discover that a henge is a ditch and a bank system that created a fortification system. I was then determined to see the henge.

What neither of us had really realised was that there was quite a strong wind. This meant that the rain was driven. We walked through the stones. We had a quick cup of coffee and walked back. By the time we got back to the car , we were absolutely soaked.
I have been working on a scrap throw. It is the one I started last Monday. Last night I decided it was finished. This morning I changed my mind. However the photo below shows the progress.

I have now moved on to spend time with my best friend. I am going to be spending the next few days here. I may not write as much over the next few days.
In the meantime until tomorrow…
