Put the kettle on!

This is the name of one of the societies that my younger son belongs to at university. The society has been running for a number of years and focusses on mental health and wellbeing. I am really pleased that such societies exist because I am very aware that young people have had a very difficult time over the last two years.

Whilst I have been staying at the flat I found this old teapot of mine. I have handed it over for the society to use. Perhaps it’ll become their new logo!

Yesterday whilst I was sitting in the union bar I over heard the rock society having a meeting and discussing the possibility of working with the burlesque society. Then this morning I was listening to Scratch Radio, the university radio station. Someone who runs the gardening society was talking about the possibility of working with the meditation society. What I found so positive in all of this, is the way in which they are looking for the ways in which their interests have common ground and the ways in which they can enhance their experiences by working together. Something that perhaps we can all take something from.

This morning Romulus decided that climbing all over me was a good idea. I was amazed that I was able to pick up the camera without him jumping off. He seemed more than happy wandering around my shoulders. I think he has more than moved in.

I have now changed venues. I am in Chippenham with my elder son for the weekend. So until Monday I hope you all have a good weekend…
