It was a very early start this morning. I had a hospital appointment in Morlaix at 9am. So I was up and at it at a time when I would have been when I was working full time. A bit of a shock to the system.
I have had problems with my left foot for several years and with my right knee for several months. I had been led to believe by my gp that I might need surgery. So the good news is that no surgery is needed. The bad news is that he thinks that it might be arthritis and that I might need cortisone injections. The implications haven’t really sunk in. Apparently I now need to see an arthritis doctor. I will try and book this soon.
Yesterday I took an order for some pairs of shark slippers. This afternoon I managed to purchase some suitable yarn and slipper number 1 is on its way. The client is hoping to collect them on the 10th. Hence I need to make it snappy! Tomorrow will be the inaugural Knit and Natter at Sur La Route. I think I know what I’ll be working on!

Until tomorrow…
Arthritis is a pain – (to state the obvious) 🤣
If it’s taken more seriously in France and you learn anything helpful please let me know
I’m two hips done, one knee gone – shoulders and neck dodgy, hands and feet going – in fact ripe for the knackers yard!
I’m very jealous of your talent with crochet – I’ve been trying to learn from YouTube to keep my hands moving but it’s slow going. Knittings good but I stopped at baby clothes 40 odd years ago! Your group idea sounds amazing
I LOVE the Xmas tree hat…. Keep on keeping on – sending love 🤗

I can recommend Bella Coco on YouTube. I tried to learn for years and with her help I cracked it! Keep trying 😁

Cortisone injections will help ease pain – after the initial increase. Here(Leicester) they won’t allow more than three over time though. I hope it does help.

Oh my goodness. I do hope they help then. 3 over the rest of my life doesn’t sound like many!
