Weather’s turning.

When the in-laws were here less than two weeks ago we were getting temperatures in the high teens and even the low 20s. Even in hottest part of the day it is barely reaching double figures at the moment, so the wood burner is coming back into its own. The insulation and doors that have been put in since last winter are also making a difference.

Last night I enthusiastically made dhal. Unfortunately I rather somewhat overdid the liquid, so we had soup! However a spicy soup in this weather is just as nice. I often make meal that will last for two nights, so it is soup again this evening. It is heating up whilst I’m writing this.

Today seems to have disappeared in a flash. I have a new group in the gite this evening, so there were cleaning duties this morning. I had intended to do a certain amount of crochet this afternoon but as I say the day appears to have disappeared. I am working on a new project which is a hooded shawl with pockets. I will have photos very soon.

One of the things that I like about being here is my opportunities to notice nature. The sunset and the clouds this evening were rather lovely.

Until tomorrow…
