It’s been a strange week one way and another and suddenly it is the weekend again. I know that tomorrow will be about packing my mother and collecting my sister-in-law who is coming to take her home. So tomorrow there might not be too much relaxing. I’m hoping that Sunday will be all about crochet.
Yesterday two people saw me wearing my poncho that I finished last weekend. They both commented on the pattern, it has a herringbone effect and the yarn which is a tweed effect. One has ordered one and one is contemplating doing so, she is currently perusing some colours and yarns. As it happened I had a ball of yarn in the colour that the first person wanted so I was able to start on their poncho last night. I did what is known in crochet parlance as chain up. I hadn’t crocheted for a few days and when I started I noticed that the concentration and the steady repetition was really positive and helped me to relax.
Today I have been crocheting a little in between jobs. I cleared the gite out last week of everything including all mattress and pillow protectors. I had intended to work slowly through them at home but each time I go to start it has been raining. So I decided to take them all to the launderette. It was a marathon but it does mean that everything is now clean and ready to go back. And I had the opportunity to crochet a couple of rows. Not much, however as a well known supermarket says; every little helps.

This evening was pilates which I love. I know that I worked harder this week. I could really feel muscles working this evening. I am slightly concerned about my ability to walk tomorrow!
In the meantime I hope that you all have a good weekend. And please keep sharing the information about the retreat.

Lovely yarn colours. I used to use the launderette in Morlaix some years ago and loved the time I whiled away in there. It was always really interesting how people behave so differently in their mundane activities from country to country. Not that I have a fascination about people doing their laundry, just that it was something that I observed ! Haha.
I hope tomorrow goes smoothly with your sister in law and that your mother has a safe crossing back home.
Sending love. Xxx
