Well all I can say is what a busy day and it’s not over yet. I have two guests arriving late. So I really don’t know what time I will be finished. I will be going up to the village shortly and hope to get everything sorted then. I have failed to take any interesting photos today, so I have just taken one of Nancy and one of Archie and they are this evening’s photos!
This morning started with some major collapses in my bedroom. Before my other half went away we had started re-arranging things. However at that stage there was almost no storage, so whilst he’s been away I had been and bought some items at Gifi. Unfortunately I should have learnt from my last purchase there, that didn’t last a dog’s watch. This morning I went to put something in one of the units and the thing collapsed spraying pieces of broken plastic. Not long later, whilst I was sitting on the edge of my bed, the hanging rail suddenly fell over and snapped. The entire contents were across the floor. A really good start to the day!
I decided a trip to IKEA was necessary. The other half hates it there so it is infinitely easier to go when he’s not around and not in the country probably counts. I am not sure why he is so against it, he loves Trago Mills. He will also acknowledge that furniture bought from there has lasted. Unfortunately this morning was a substantial gite clean and re-organisation so that was the first priority. Once it was done then it was time to dash to Brest and back before the first guests arrived. I picked up an absolute bargain whilst I was there. Single duvet set for 3e, I managed to get four matching sets which means that they will do the bunk room.
So today has been a very rushing about type of day. I would say that I hope that the weekend is quieter however I know that it won’t be. Lots on this weekend. Two new guests over the weekend, a market all day on Sunday and breakfasts. I will be busy.
I hope everyone has a good weekend, and for my local readers there is a summer market in aid of Les Puces at Salle Amzer Zo 29246 Poullaouen, from 10 am until 6pm on Sunday. Maybe see you there.
