It has been quite a week one way and another and I’m very glad it’s Friday night. Weekends are usually the busiest time in the gite but I have managed to set up the rooms for tomorrow today so there won’t be too much work tomorrow.
I am now sat outside enjoying the sunshine at our local bar enjoying a glass of wine whilst they cook a pizza for my son. Here they prefer if you make an order and say what time you would like it. However we have seen our guests in for this evening and don’t want to keep driving back and forth. Given that my son has been doing the driving, partly because of my back and partly because he enjoys driving a sportier car than his! This means I get the glass of wine and he gets a coke. I do love the fact that Brittany, known as Briezh in Bretton, has its own cola. He’ll have some beer when we get home.
This week has been a series of guests who have only stayed for one night. Long term I need to consider whether this is viable given the amount of work. I think both my son and I are exhausted. Next week I have no one from Sunday until Thursday at the moment. I might close for 3 nights in order to catch up and to give my back a chance to recover a little.
I finished a pair of slippers last night. They were supposed to be adult size but they most definitely aren’t. I shall start on some others later.
We are now home, we have eaten and son has beer! In the meantime I hope you all have a lovely weekend. Until Monday…
