Last night I decided that given I had been prescribed tramadol, now was the time to take one. Well I won’t be doing it again in a hurry! Whilst I had a pain free night getting up this morning was more than some what challenging. I felt drunk or at least slightly woozy. So it really wasn’t a good start and it took me some time to get going. Most days at the moment I don’t have that much time available so I need to be able to get up and operate immediately. I’ll stick with the paracetamol and ibuprofen for now.
My youngest son had to go to the prefecture for his carte de sejour and finger prints today. So we were off to Quimper. Given that there was someone coming to the gite this evening the room changeover needed to be done first. With it being only one room this evening it was a relatively quick job. And a trip to Quimper cannot go without a lunch. We have been lucky with the weather over the last few days, there has been a definite improvement. We were able to sit outside and it was necessary to sit under an awning for fear of sunburn! I haven’t been able to say that for some time. So we had our lunch with a view of the cathedral.
I am often asked whether I take cards and up until now the answer has been no. However a few days ago I ordered a machine. Today it has arrived. I think that I have managed to set it up. I assume that I will only know when I take my first payment! It seems quite exciting to have entered the modern world. I even have a sticker that I can put on the door that shows that I take card payments. This might make me a little daft however I feel it demonstrates a level of professionalization to my businesses. I can take the machine with me and use it when I do markets which I think will prove really useful.
So now I need to unload last night’s washing from the car and start the process of getting it washed and dried. All good fun! Then back to crochet. The slippers are not quite going to plan at the moment, but I’ll get there.
