Firstly thank you to everyone who sent messages to me at the end of last week. Your kind words were appreciated. As you can imagine it was a bit of a strange weekend. My husband and youngest set off for the UK yesterday and they have safely arrived. So now I’m on my own for a while.
A few years ago I would have hated having time alone. Now I’m more than happy to have that time. I might get bored in a few weeks but at the moment I’m fine. I have plans for things that I want to achieve. I think that I might need to write a timetable in order that I stay on track.
The weather has certainly changed for the better. I spent much of yesterday afternoon sitting in the garden. I took photographs of the sky because it was just so blue and not a cloud in sight. When it was cooler I took the dogs for a walk. I never go out without my camera and I did! I saw the most amazing dragonflies, the colours were stunning. I will go back another evening and try and photograph them. The weather was so hot yesterday that I managed to get two loads of washing through the machine onto the line and dry, including the bedding that I had stripped that morning. So whilst I didn’t do much I did at least achieve that.

Over the weekend I also came across a pattern for spa gift sets to be done in crochet. I have to say that I absolutely love them. I have made two so far, though I haven’t sewn the ends in yet. I will be taking them to market tomorrow. I feel that they should be a winner. I can but hope.

I have come back this afternoon to find a series of bookings for a weekend in September. I am now concerned that I may have forgotten to block something out on Airbnb. I really hope that I haven’t made that mistake. Later I will have a look. A friend who runs a gite business has set up a calendar system on an Excel spread sheet. As it happens he has four gites and I have four rooms, so he has very kindly given me a copy. I need to adapt it and start using it, then I would be able to see far more clearly what is happening and when.
I have plenty to keep me busy. Until tomorrow.
