In both France and the UK the clocks moved forward last night. I tend to find that whilst I really appreciate the lighter evenings, I find the first week or so difficult to adjust to. What I do, do though is try and change as many watches and clocks before I go to bed so that they are showing the right time in the morning.
Today I have had a lazy day. I always feel as though we have one less hour when the clocks change. I know that it’s psychological, but I have to make the adjustment, so I tend to have a couple of days where I do a little less. However I had agreed yesterday to buy a tumble dryer on Market place so that had to be picked up. I had been trying to do without one however the amount of washing I get through when we have had guests in the gite can take me over a week to catch up with if the weather isn’t good. And like the UK, Brittany’s weather can’t always be relied upon. Nevertheless other than collecting the tumble dryer, there really was nothing on the agenda for today. I have sat about and read a book. I’ve wasted time on Facebook. The only really productive thing I have done, which was on my to do list this week, was to cut Nancy’s hair. Nancy is a terrier that has white, though usually nicotine yellow, fur that gets out of control. I have done it a few times myself though it’s not easy. In the past my eldest has helped but of course he’s not around and we don’t know when he might next get here. My husband had to help, I think he enjoyed it even less than Nancy! It isn’t brilliant but she looks better, she can see out and probably more importantly, she’s hygienically clean!
I have done some crochet. The coatigan is making really good progress. I will be doing some more of it this evening. Other than when I’m sewing in the ends, crochet is relaxing and helps with mindfulness. I have another project to go onto when this one is finished so I’m already beginning to think about that.

Have you had a lazy Sunday? Does the change of the hour affect you?

Nancy looks lovely hun, totally agree with the clock change, it throughs me as well, but today was usual Sunday catch up on things I didnt have time for in the week, so cooking quiche and chicken curry pasties , dump run and small bonfire, is about all i managed today xx

I’m glad you like her hair cut! You have achieved a lot more than me. Though I am enjoying having a lazy day.

Firstly, the hair cut looks brilliant and the crochet is lovely. It looks like a very productive day all in all for you. It is Sunday after all ! X
Well, we decided not to move the clocks last night and to readjust them sometime in the afternoon today. It got to 4 pm and we remembered to move them on the hour. From that point on I never quite caught up. Tea was an hour late, but at least the washing dried outside. Hahah As it happened it was good that we still had our normal time in bed and only rushed a bit towards the end of the day to catch up ! We went to Portugal many years ago and forgot the time difference. Lived the whole week and hour out of sync with everyone else and only realised as we checked the time for our flights home the evening before we flew back. Nothing unusual for us. I don’t wear a watch and love to live by the daylight hours really. I’ve got pretty good at being roughly right with the time. A watch comes out for special events and work. I found that I achieved much more if I gave myself less stress about doing things at a certain time and not achieving them.
Anyway, a good day here, pottering, chatting with friends on Skype and cooking Chinese for tea. Xx

Sounds wonderful. I go through phases when it comes to wearing a watch. I’m currently in a wearing one phase!
